Since 1999
Hi, my name is John. I started sharpening in 1999, part-time, at my wife's store in Julian, California. Over the last 26 years, I've built sharpening businesses in San Diego, Show Low (Arizona), Maui (Hawaii), and now Texas.
In San Diego, I sharpened for the Wild Animal Park, Camp Pendleton Marine Corps barbers, Naval Training Center barbers, and mess hall kitchens. My work there included clipper blades, barber scissors, and kitchen knives.
I was also one of the sharpeners for Paul Mitchell's beautician school in San Diego.
In Maui, I volunteered with the UHMC culinary arts program, where I worked with students and helped teach proper knife sharpening. I also worked with most major resort kitchens, selling and sharpening knives for 10 years.
Today, in this area, I sharpen for beauticians, pet groomers, veterinarians, barbers, and restaurants.
